We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Colony Insurance. Colony is an AM Best “A” rated insurance carrier with a financial strength of XII, they are based in Richmond, VA. Colony has given TRS full underwriting and binding authority, greatly speeding up the process of quoting and the issuance of policies and endorsements.
On For-Hire Trucking, the program is targeted to local-intermediate radius risks, small to medium in size, with the ability to write Non Trucking Liability and new ventures. Colony’s broad appetite will afford TRS the opportunity to write both For-Hire and Not-For-Hire in many other classes such as; dump operations, wreckers, ready mix, church/courtesy shuttle, school bus/day care, waste/recyclable haulers, tow trucks, security patrol, driver training schools, contingent lease, contractors, food delivery, specialized delivery and paratransit. We will be writing all of the above mentioned classes in the following states effective immediately; IL, IA, MN, MI and WI.
With Colony’s “A” rating, admitted paper, broad coverage forms and broad appetite, they are a perfect and welcome fit with TRS.

TRS teams up with Vanliner Insurance!
We are very pleased to announce that TRS has teamed up with Vanliner Insurance, adding another competitive transportation market with great service that enables Transportation Risk Services to help better serve you and your clients. Vanliner�s appetite for transportation risks is 25 or more units, dry van, refrigerated and intermodal (they are not a market for flatbed or dump operations). Coverage may be written with a composite rate on mileage or gross receipts basis with the Liability coverage on symbol 41. Lines of coverage written are Primary Liability, General Liability, Physical Damage, Workers Compensation (subject to writing the Liability) and Umbrella ($10M Capacity). TRS also has access to write Moving and Storage risks with Vanliner, starting at 5 units with the ability to write all necessary coverages required for this class of business including Movers and Warehousemens, Property and Workers Compensation.

TRS adds Hiscox US to their list of Inland Marine companies!
TRS has added another great non-admitted Inland Marine market to their current list of excellent companies. Hiscox is backed 100% by a Lloyds syndicate with all claims being handled domestically by York Claims. Hiscox has giving York Claims draft authority on handling their claims which enables them to settle claims quickly as they come in. Starting with a $15,000 minimum premium, Hiscox can write, but are not limited to, the following lines of coverage: Motor Truck Cargo, Vehicle Physical Damage, Property, Warehouse Legal Liability, Cranes and Riggers, Mobile and Construction Equipment, Railroads, just to name a few. Certain coverages can be packaged together and combined deductibles can be offered.

TRS now has the ability to provide Motor Truck Cargo, General Liability and Trailer Interchange coverage for Mexican Truckers while driving in the USA. These coverages, underwritten through Lloyds, are a great way for drivers with a CDL from Mexico to be properly covered while hauling in the United States.

Through a wholesale appointment TRS can provide you and your insured�s with a complete comprehensive package including Liability limits up to $2M, General Liability, Physical Damage, Trailer Interchange, and Motor Truck Cargo for up 19 units. RLI is a market for the following types of risks; dry van, refrigerated, auto haulers, expedited freight delivery, dry tank, flatbed, and intermodal.
